How we handle your personal information

Regional Vending respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and when you contact us, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

1. Who is responsible for your information

Regional Vending is operated by 783184 Ontario Limited, which is responsible for the personal information under its control. We have designated a Privacy Officer who is accountable for our compliance with this policy.

  • Business name: 783184 Ontario Limited, operating as Regional Vending
  • Address: 1520 Trinity Dr, Mississauga, ON L5T 1N9
  • Phone: (905) 601-2874

To reach our Privacy Officer, call us or write to us at the address above, marked “Attention: Privacy Officer”.

2. What we collect

Through this website. This website has no contact form that sends information to us, no accounts and no online payments. The workplace calculator on our vending machine placement page works inside your browser: the numbers you type are not sent to us or stored. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools on this site.

Technical information. Like any website, the services that deliver this site to your browser automatically receive basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. Some text on this site uses a font served by Adobe Fonts, so your browser also connects to Adobe to display it. We do not use this information to identify you.

When you contact us. When you call us, email us, write to us, or use the phone number on the service sticker of one of our machines, we collect what you choose to share, which may include:

  • Your name, job title and the name of your business.
  • Your phone number and email address.
  • The address of your location and details that help us recommend machines, such as how many people work there and which machines you are interested in.
  • Details of a service request or refund request, such as which machine and what happened.

We do not collect payment card details through this website. Please do not send us sensitive information such as health records, government identification numbers or financial account numbers.

3. Why we collect it

We use your information to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and evaluate your space.
  • Recommend, deliver, install, restock and service machines at your location.
  • Handle service and refund requests.
  • Keep the business records our accounting and tax obligations require.

If we ever want to use your information for a purpose not listed here, we will ask you first. Any commercial email we send follows Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL): it identifies us, includes our mailing address and lets you unsubscribe at any time.

4. Your consent

When you contact us, you consent to us using the information you give us for the purposes in section 3. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide the service you asked for.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only when we need to, and only as much as is needed:

  • Service providers that host and deliver this website and that we use to run our business, such as email and phone services.
  • Professional advisors and authorities, where the law requires it.

Information stored outside Canada. Some of these providers may store or process information in the United States or other countries. While it is there, it may be accessible to the courts and law enforcement of that country under their laws.

6. Cookies

We do not use cookies for analytics or advertising on this website. You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes in section 3, or as long as the law requires. When we no longer need it, we destroy, erase or anonymize it.

8. How we protect it

We use safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including limiting access to the people who need it to do their work. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we take this seriously and review our safeguards as our tools change.

9. Your rights

Under PIPEDA you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you, and be told how it has been used and who it has been shared with.
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Withdraw consent and ask us to stop using your information, subject to legal and contractual limits.
  • Ask us to delete information we no longer need.
  • Complain if you think we have mishandled your information.

To make a request, call us at (905) 601-2874 or write to our Privacy Officer at 1520 Trinity Dr, Mississauga, ON L5T 1N9. We will respond within the time limits PIPEDA sets, and we may ask you to confirm your identity before we release any information. There is no charge for a routine request.

10. If you are not satisfied

Contact our Privacy Officer first and we will do our best to resolve it. If you are still not satisfied, you have the right to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca or by phone at 1-800-282-1376.

11. Children

This website is intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when our website or our tools change. The current version is always posted on this page with the date it was last updated.
